Reschedule Expired Permit due to Unforeseen Circumstances
This service is available to Tourists who were unable to visit the products due to unforeseen circumstances. Tourists or travel agents are able to apply for rescheduling of their expired permit. They need to attach documentary evidence of the unforeseen circumstances that led to them missing the visit date. The decision to grant a renewal is solely left to the discretion of the Rwanda Development Board. There is no appeal in case reasons for expiry of permit are deemed invalid.
Kindly be advised that prior to visiting Volcanoes National Park, Gishwati-Mukura National Park and Nyungwe National Park, a SARS-CoV 2 Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) negative test certificate remains mandatory and should be taken within 72 hours prior to the visit. For Akagera National Park, an Antigen Rapid Test(RDT) taken within 72 hours prior to the visit is accepted.
